I honestly cannot say enough about Manoir King David. As I lived in California, I had the daunting task of finding a good assisted living facility for my mother in Montreal. After much research and glowing recommendations/ we came upon Manoir King David and it was the jackpot ! Being an RN myself, safety was my main concern. What a comfort to learn that the Director Anna was al-so an RN with much medical knowledge and experience. The Manager Rosemary is hands on for day to day operations. Her commitment really shows, as well has the whole staff she manages under her leadership. The nurses are watchful and attentive. When my mother was unusually short of breath, she was transferred immediately for temporarily more acute care. The facility is extremely clean, with maid service every day. The rooms are spacious, warm and inviting. I found the home-cooked meals to be delicious and satisfying, with a kitchen staff always aiming to please and accommodating. The meals are served in a large dining hall with lovely decor, and a resident rabbi ensures that all the food is Kosher. Residents seem happy and cheerful, participating regularly in many group activities such as card games, movies, bingo, bridge lessons, and stimulating “trivia pursuit” games. There are daily exercise classes with everyone encouraged to participate to the best of their ability. There is frequent entertainment with singers and live music, and regular services conducted by a rabbi. I’m extremely impressed with Manoir King David, and feel it’s a wonderful and affordable place to consider for anyone’s family.

In early 2014, the administration and staff at the Manoir King David made seamless the transition of our uncle from his apartment to his new home. The administration offered professional and experienced advice and assistance beyond expectation. The staff, we learned, is accommodating, friendly and supportive of both a new resident and visiting family members. Our uncle is helped in his daily needs and requirements with a watchful eye, active socialization, and on site medical support. At the level of care that our uncle requires, we now have peace of mind seeing our uncle well taken care of and living in good spirits at the Manoir King David.

Hi Anna, The King David was a lifesaver for my Mother and her husband.
